This work was done in a fluid manner, playing with shapes and colour, staying away from detail, hence giving the painting expression and a genuine Canadian atmosphere. Two large oval structures predominate; one dull red, and the adjacent, toned down orange. It is fall and the air is tense and windy. Hidden under the orange red leaves, we see a blue house with a large red roof. The grass is still very green, but the tree on the left is shaking and shedding off its leaves as rain is about to fall.
